George C. Pride AKA Sonny

George C. Pride aka Sonny, was born February 15,1952 to the late D.L. Pride, Sr. and Sweety May Jackson who both preceded him one brother D.L. Jr. preceded in death. Sonny was the second child of five children Sonny accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized in Harmon Baptist Church in Sardis MS. He graduated from North Panola Vocation High School in Como, MS upon graduation he relocated to Evanston, IL where he remained until death. George worked for AT&T for 44 years after retiring in 2013 he fulfilled his dreams in cooking, walking and driving fast cars. His three favorite things were working, family and cooking. He loved his nieces and nephews as they were his own.

George leaves to cherish his memory three sister; Earnestine/Tina (Carlos) Pride-Martinez of Sanford, Florida Bertha Pride-Harris all of Chicago, Sonya Pride of Southaven, MS. Two brothers Buddie Lee Pride of Chicago, IL & Henry Pride of Sardis, MS. one aunt Ella Jackson of Como, MS, five nieces, three nephews, three great nephews and two great nieces a host of cousins, friends.
