Mr. Oneil Pommells Obituary

O'Neil Hyden Pommells, affectionately known to his friends and family as "O-DEE," was born on September 21, 1979. He was, tragically and unexpectedly, taken away from this life on December 18, 2019. He was a beloved father, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend to so many.

O'Neil was the eldest son born to this union of Sonia and Deslie Pommells. He was born in Evanston, Illinois and was educated in the city's school systems. He attended Kingsley Elementary School, Washington Elementary School, Nichols Middle School, and Evanston Township High School. After high school, he attended DeVry University and later went on to co-own Nu-Age Auto Repair with his brothers.

O'Neil had a deep passion for music and spent much of his life creating songs within the hip-hop and dancehall genres. O'Neil was very kind, loving, and dedicated to his family and friends alike. He had a remarkable ability to light up a whole room with his infectious smile and warm embrace.

O'Neil leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Sonia; his father Deslie; children, O'nya, Jahad, and Demetri; brothers; Donavon, Omar, Lawrence, and Brandon; sisters; Aleen and Denise; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and scores of friends. Please keep the family in your prayers.
