Ms. Linda Denise Harris was born on August 8, 1963, to her proud parents Walter P. Harris and Mae Curtis Hyde-Harris in Evanston, Illinois. Linda was the youngest child of seven children. Linda was educated in the Evanston school system, graduating from Evanston Township High School in 1981. Linda professed her faith in Christ at an early age.
After graduating from high school, Linda worked for Allstate Insurance Company, GBC Bindings, the City of Evanston Levy Center and Rice Education Center.
Linda had a radiant smile that would light up any room. She was also never to give you her viewpoint on many on many subject matters. She had a loving heart and was always there with a listening ear. She was willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Linda was known for her famous Chili. She would always make some for her brother Marshall and family.
Linda's devotion to her family could not be measured. She enjoyed spending quality time with her loving son, grandchildren, family and friends. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. Her shining stars. She taught them many life lessons that will live forever. Linda was their biggest supporter in education, school activities and sporting events. She continually encouraged youth to "be the best you can be".
Linda was preceded to paradise by her parents Walter and Mae Curtis, sisters, Betty and Pamela and brother, Norman. Left to cherish her memory are; her son Jemar and grandchildren, Jemar Jr., Gmariyanna and Gawun. Loving siblings; Donna Hyde, Kim Gibson and Marshall Harris (Beverly) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and people who loved her. Special friends; Joy Hunter and Gwendolyn Martin.
