Ms. Lisa Lashon King aka Lee Lo was born on November 30, 1963, to the late and great Robert James King and Emma Jean Irving in Montgomery, Alabama. Lisa was a joyous child and gem to be around. At a young age, Lisa and her family moved to Evanston, Illinois.
Lisa was eduated through the Evanton Public School System. She attended Chute Middle School and Evanston Township High School which she graduated from in 1982.
Lisa was a people person with a big heart. Her house always had an open door policy. She would feed, clothe and shelter any and everyine which is how she become affectionately called Mama Lisa or Auntie Lisa by many throughout the community. Lisa enjoyed working with children. She was employed at Fkeetwood Jordain Community Center and Dewey School. Just as much as she loved kids, they loved her back. Lisa always greeted everyone with a hug, her signature purple kisses, and and "I love you." Yould never see Lisa upset, she was always smiling and full of life.
Lisa loved playing cards, stank and dank (what she called the game) and going to the casino. You could always see Lisa floating down Golf in her Saturn. If she saw you, she'd stop in the midlle of traffic to speak and ended every converstion with, "I love you!"
Lisa was a orud family oriented woman that enjoyed cooking for her family. She was always hosting something at her house. She was loved by so many. Lisa was not only a phenomenal Mother and Grandma, she was also a great daughter, loving sister, aunt, cousin and friend. Lisa was a saved, strong, prideful woman that was a member of CHrist Temple Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Kenneth Cherry Sr. On Sundays at church, Lisa would be standing at the front door welcoming everyone as they entered as she was a part of the greeters committee.
On October 15, 2019 at the blessed age of 55, after fighting a long and tough fight, Lisa Lashon King transitioned from her fleshly life to be joined in Heaven with her Father, Robert; Mother, Emma Jean.
Lisa's legacy will remain to exist in the hearts and minds of everyone she interacted with. The most beloved individuals left behind whom will sherish her memory includes her five children, Tiffany, Michael (Shamil), Chine, Jazha, and Myzha; her grandsons, Shamir, Cayenne, and Corde; her siblings, Bernard, Neicy, Issace, Leticia, Talia, Rodria, and Jason; her step siblings, Xenia, Fredo, Pablo, Sherian, Margaret, Jacqueline, and Peter, a host of neices, nephews, great neices and nephews and other relatives. Lisa's favorite cousins, Deloris, Debbie, and Shannon; lifelong friends, Susan, Jackie, Shirley, Elizabeth, Diana, and Harriett will also miss her greatly. She is now reunited with her best friend, Billie Jean Marshall.
