Deborah Ann Johnson was born in Greenwood South Carolina on October 14, 1957, and was the third of nine children born to the late Richard F. Johnson and Betty Lee Johnson.
Debbie arrived in Evanston Illinois in the early 60’s with her family and was raised with a southern Christian upbringing that was the core basis of the beautiful strong dedicated woman she was. She was baptized early and joined her family as a member of Ebenezer AME Church where she enjoyed hearing the word of God and always supported or served when asked.
Debbie attended Foster and Noyes elementary, Haven Middle schools and graduated from Evanston Township High School in 1975. Education came easy to Debbie, and she excelled quickly while doing her part as a caregiver for her siblings. After graduating from high school, she attended Oakton Community College where she took in interest in Computer Science and technology.
She was a devoted mother to her only daughter Valerie Lee Printis and was affectionately called “Dee-Dee” by her granddaughters Trinity Printis and Mariah Printis whom she loved and cherished.
She was a beloved sister and friend, and her love was unconditional. She was generous and patient and an old soul that loved to help others and what she didn’t have that was tangible she gave it in love and prayer.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Richard and Betty Johnson, brothers, Thomas Johnson and Richard E. Johnson. She leaves to honor and cherish her memory 1 daughter: Valerie L. Printis, 2 grand-daughters: Trinity Printis and Mariah Printis, 4 brothers: Bruce (Adriane) Johnson, Floyd Johnson, Curtis (Robin) Johnson, Michael (Paula) Johnson and 2 sisters: Vivian McFarland and Sheila (Terry) Livingston and a host of many nephews, nieces, friends and loved ones.
