Obituary

Albert Gene Handley was born January 30, 1942, to Adelia Hatchett and Leroy Hanley in Henderson County, Kentucky. He was the youngest of four children. Albert was affectionately known as AI. He was raised in a loving Christian home. Although he did not attend church regularly, he had a strong personal relationship with God. He would often go to the Evanston beaches for solitude and meditation.

AI relocated to Evanston from Kentucy at the age of 15 to be with his older brother Billy. They were owners of a popular gas station for over five years. Al held various other jobs, but ultimately became a proud truck driver for Celli Truck Company for over 25 years. He was a human GPS system. No matter where you wanted to go, he would give accurate and precise directions.

In 1976, Al became the proud doting father of Alicia White. They had a loving relationship. He was always a phone call away. In 1988, Al met his
wife Gwen. On November 28,1998, they got married and experienced 24 years of marital bliss. Al was a gentle, compassionate, kind, and patient
man, who did everything he could for his family and others.

AI was a founding member of the Untouchables Motocycle Club. He had a passion for riding long distance and was often accompanied by his wife.
He was well regarded in the biker community. He established and maintained long lasting relationships with other bikers from all over the United States. He would attend the annual Round Up Biker Convention where he once received a trophy for having traveled the furthers to attend.

AI departed this life on April 12, 2022. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife Gwendolyn of 24 years, daughter Alicia (Phillip) White; bonus sons, Darwin Brown, Richard McGinnis, Todd (NiKai) Hall; Granddaughters, Philicia White and Hannah Hall; brother Willie, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

AI is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Norris Hanley and bonus son Charles McGinnis. Please keep the family in your prayers.
