Our loved one Augustus Thomas was born on August 27th, 1928 in Tobago to Reuben Thomas and Victoria Caesar, the youngest of four siblings proceeded in death Euphemia, Elvira and Yvette. Augustus migrated to the United States in the early seventies. Most of his adult life he worked as a machinist receiving many employee of the month awards. Into his retirement, he worked for the City of Evanston school district as a crossing guard and received an award for five years of excellent service.
He was a well respected man in his comnmunity he was kind, easy going and loved to laugh. And if you ask him, how you doing? His signature response was
"I'm doing the best I can, with what I got left". Augustus had a passion for music and really enjoyed family gatherings, but in the Lord's timing he leaves
behind to cherish the memories of the Thomas family Patriarch memories of laughter and togetherness. Children: junior (deceased), Raymond, Jemma, Beverly, Nicole and Jennifer, Grandchildren: Sharon, Melissa, Le Kisha, Sarita, Zahra, Roderick, jeanel, Terrance, Ivory and Danielle. Great Grandchildren: Joshua, jael, Ean, Paxton and Ava.
Loving nieces, nephews and cousins: Ricky, Anita, "Esther, Angela, jean, Keith, Ken, junior R. and many more. Many friends in the Evanston community in which he was very active. Please keep the family in your prayers.
