Charles Thomas Grant (Chuck) was born on January 11, 1936, in Lowndes County, Alabama. He departed on February 14, 2022, to join God Almighty who saw that he was tired and called him home. He accepted Christ as his savior at a young age. In 1952, he served in the Air Force Military for 4 years and was honorably discharged.
He was a very hard worked as a baker and continued on working as a charter bus driver, from state to state, retiring at the age of 76. He was a devoted, honest husband who always provided for his family along with a heart of gold helping other families and friends who were in need.
In his peaceful departure in the heavens above, He is overlooking his loving wife of 40 years Donna Lee Hildebrand who he cherished and loved dearly. His two brothers Willie James Thomas with his wife Maggie Thomas, and Morris Thomas. His two sisters Mable Bolling and Callie (CB) Thomas. Preceding him in death is Charles Grant, Sr. (Father), Mrs. Callie G. Thomas (Mother), Monroe Thomas (Stepfather), Brothers: Joe-Frank Thomas. Edward Thomas. Monroe Jr. Thomas, Barnard Thomas, Herbert Thomas, Sisters: Arthurine McCall-Coley, Hattie- Mae Lawrence, and Michael Hildebrand (Deceased stepson).
Chuck leaves to cherish moments with a whole heap of nephews, nieces, God nieces/nephews, loving friends esp. One nephew Irwin Bolling who was like a son to him caring for uncle chuck daily during his senior years. I also wanted to include Richard, Gwen Hildebrand and family. Rosemary Chris Parker and family. Steven, Kris Hildebrand and family, survived also by husband wife's family. Please keep the family in your prayers.
