He shall be remembered as a man of very few words.
Because Christopher Anthony Rowland did not say a whole lot while he walked this earth among us, we are forced to remember how great he was purely by his action. And great he was. His generosity, sense of humor and tremendous love of family was extraordinary. Here lies a man today, who accepted sacrifice as a
personal duty, selflessly giving of himself while helping others; forgoing the comforts of life, so others can benefit and share in his blessings.
Christopher never thought of himself first, was never at a loss for words to share a joke and never looked backwards for a favor in return for his valuable assistance. When Christopher carne into this world on September 15, 1985 at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Illinois, he weighed 12 pounds and eight ounces. Surely, we should have been instantly tipped off that he was a natural born with a big heart This bouncing baby boy was the proud son of Hazart Rowland
and Ann Martinez of Belize. Growing up in the Northside Rogers Park neighborhood, Christopher attended Gale Academy graduating in 2000.
He then attended Sullivan High School and successfully graduated in 2004. After completing high school, Christopher was hired as a tax
preparer at Ready Refunds and also worked as a mover. Just before his passing on October 17, 2021, he was about to pursue a position at Amazon.
He is survived by his mother Ann Martinez, nine siblings: Marlon, Cynthia, Mark, Matthew, Carolee, Kevin, Yvonne, Althea and Anthony; 22 nieces, nephews grand-nieces and grand-nephews; grandmother Martha Davis, a host of uncles and aunts including Yvonne, Edna, Arithony 'Boots' Martinez, Edward,
