David Benjamin Beverly was born in Evanston, IL on February 17,1962 to Mary Catherine and David Beverly, Sr. He attended Royce more School in Evanston, and Boggs Academy in Keysville, GA. David graduated from Evanston Township High School in 1979. While there, he was on offensive line of the ETHS football team.
After high school, attended Kankakee College and graduated from Progressive Truck Driving School with his CDL. He worked for various trucking companies after he returned to Evanston. He was hired by MBI Trucking, one of the largest long-haul waste transporter in the country in 2013.
In addition, David put his carpentry skills to work doing handyman jobs on the side. David joined Second Baptist Church under the pastorage of Reverend C. Nathaniel Hawk at a young age. David enjoyed music, particularly R & B, Jazz and Gospel. He loved traveling and watching Chicago spot teams, especially the Bears. David was a people person and loved hosting an annual neighborhood picnic every year on McDaniel Street.
David was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves to mourn his passing, his sons: Tyreke Jerimy Beverly of Skokie, IL, David Beverly, Ill of Evanston, IL; granddaughter, KyAsia Beverly; fiancé, Sherry Lyn Riles and her son Dejion Tray Riles (who David helped raise) of Evanston, IL; his Uncle Freddie "Uncle Jackie" Roger of Chicago, IL; his cousin Yolanda Drummer of Chicago, IL and a host of friends. Please keep the family in your prayers.
