Deric Michael Anthony Oliver, 41, passed away in February 2024 in his hometown of Evanston Illinois. He was born in Evanston on October 31, 1982.
Deric’s early life in Evanston, growing up alongside his siblings, was filled with love from his family, mischief with his friends, and the simplicity of the Midwest. He graduated high school, had a short stint in the army, and moved to Arizona. In his mid-twenties he moved back to Evanston, where he built a life around his friends and his work as a clerical aid. He always wanted to go back to the desert.
Deric’s friends and family will remember him as a person who enjoyed telling stories and loved dogs, video games, anime, and reading manga.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Tanya V. Hudson; grandparents, Ruth I. and Wilbert Hudson; and Beatrice and Anthony H. Oliver. He is survived by his sisters, brother, and a host of family and friends.
Deric will be missed. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends. Please keep the family in your prayers.
