Deshawn Young-Carter was born in Evanston, Illinois on April 26, 1990, where he attended Dawes Elementary, Chute Middle School, and Evanston Township High School where he obtained his GED.
In 2016 Deshawn met someone at Curt's Café who told him about a program for at risk youths and he took his cousins to enroll in the program and landed himself a job as a chef. He loved being a chef. Deshawn started working at Curt's Café and during this time he began to work on a project on designing t-shirt for the café. It turned out to be something that he really enjoyed and decided to begin designing his own t-shirts.
In 2019 during the pandemic, Deshawn began his entrepreneurship journey by starting his own clothing line Marry 2 Money (M2M). He created his own logo and began to sell t-shirts, sweatshirts, sweatpants and more. Deshawn knew that he wanted to leave his footprint in the sand that would create a legacy for his children. His dream and legacy for Marry 2 Money will be kept alive by the family in his loving memory.
