Mr. Donald C. Thomas

Donald Constantine Thomas departed this earthly life on Wednesday, November 24,2021, at the age of 82. On February 3, 1939, Donald was born in St. Catherine, Jamaica, to the late Dali Thomas and Jestina Williams. Sadly, he lost his father at age 4; he started working at an early age to help out his family. Donald met the love of his life, Eda May Granville, and the two married on December 18, 1976.

Before immigrating to the United States in 1982, he worked as a bartender, mailman, waiter, and pastry chef at SCR University of the West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica. He had the honor to meet and serve various dignitaries, including Queen Elisabeth II, during her visits. In the US, he worked at Peacock Ice Cream Co., and in the construction industry.

Twelve years ago, he gave his life to God and now attends the 'Deliverance Temple Church of God' in Skokie. He was an active member of the church
choir. Most of all, Donald loved his family and friends and instilled good values in his children and grandchildren that have served them well He will be
dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

Donald is survived by his wife, Eda, children, Patricia, Marlon, Mark, Camille, Michael, Robert, Wayne, and brother & sister-in-law, Cheslon Granville and Dawn Wallace, daughters & son-in-law, Effie, Shellie, Gary, and 21 beautiful grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Memorial funds or special contributions in the Donald Thomas can be made to the church building fund. Please keep the family in your prayers.
