EVETT "Moe" IRVING III was born November 11, 1970 to Evett Irving II and Muriel Joyce Irving in Evanston, Illinois. He was the youngest of five children. Evett passed away suddenly in Chicago, Illinois on May 21, 2021.
"Moe" as he was affectionately called by everyone attended grade school in the Evanston school district.
He was a member of the Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church of Chicago, where the Reverend Cris Allen is the pastor.
Evett was an adventurous person, traveling all over the United States. One of his favorite job opportunities was traveling with the circus for a number of years. Even though he was traveling, he made sure his family knew where he was at all times, calling home to his mother and his siblings. Eventually, he made it back to the Evanston area. He was a certified forklift driver and held several jobs. Evett had a soft, tender voice, never raising it above a whisper. He is going to be missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know him.
Survivors include his wife Mitla Rodriguez of Chicago, IL; his devoted daughter Martinique Larvingo of New Mexico, his loving mother, Muriel Irving of Chicago, IL; two brothers Harvey Singleton N of Milwaukee, WI and Anthony Singleton of Franklin Park, IL; two sister Carol Singleton of Racine, WI and Pamela Singleton of South Holland, IL; 2 aunts Mary Lou Watkins of Gurnee, IL and Elizabeth Cox of Evanston, IL: one uncle Powell (Barbara) Brannon of Macon, GA; a special father figure Jewel Trueblood of Chicago, IL; cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of many, many friends.
