On February 17, 2021 at 12:26 p.m., George Headley Clarke, age 65, passed away at (Presence St. Francis (Amita) Hospital in Evanston, Illinois. George Headley Clarke was born to the union of Vyris Wheatley and James Clarke on July 16, 1955 in the district of Springfield, St. Elizabeth Jamaica W.I. His family and friends knew him as “Breeze Boy". He was educated at the Springfield All-age School and attended the Springfield Moravian Church which provided his is early Religious Education. George had' many gifts of building and constructing things as well as growing crops. These qualities led him at the age of 17 years old to an apprenticeship in building construction and to explore farm work opportunities in Canada seasonally for many years. He eventually
started his own construction business in Jamaica.
George met Gloria Thompson in Jamaica and they were married in USA in 2018. George migrated to the USA in 2019 to join her permanently. George worked as a construction assistant at the Home Depot in Evanston, IL. He also did other construction work on the side. George is the fifth child of nine siblings of which four preceded him in death. George is survived by four of his siblings, Monica, Joyce, Joyce, Hyacinth and Pearle.
George leaves behind two daughters, Kay Clarke Samuels (George), Sheron Clarke Gary, two sons Delano Clarke, Oshane Durraye Clarke, and three grandchildren His first grandchild Kimberly Cross. He also leaves behind a host of other relatives. George will be remembered. for his easy Coving and kind disposition and will be greatly missed by his family and his United. Methodist friends and neighbors. Please keep the family in your prayers.
