Mr. Glenn Crabtree Obituary

Glenn Anthony Crabtree, affectionally known a. 'Tree" was born September 10, 1958 to Donald & Rosemarie Crabtree in Indianapolis., IN. He was the oldest of five children. The family relocated to Evanston in 1970 were Glenn attend Haven Middle School as a 6th grader. While at ETHS. Glenn played football and ran track, he was especially proud o his hurdling prowess. After graduating from ETHS in 1976 he attended d Kendall Community College.

Glenn worked for 35 years with the City of Evanston in the Water and Streets & Sanitation Department. He retired in 2013 allowing time to attend activities and sporting events of all the family kids.; he was so proud of all you. Glenn's true passion was golf, playing on courses . all over the country preparing to play in the Senior Open, ha-ha!

Glenn loved us all and showed us every day. However, he loved loved loved his Stephanie who he met in 1982. They finally married in 1996. They enjoyed traveling, fine dining and the joy of watching the grandchildren, niece. and nephews at their events.

Glenn did not know a stranger and was happy to spend time sharing his knowledge. If you were one of those people, you know you could not b in a hurry when talking with GIenn.  He was continually  encouraging in everyone because he wanted the best for you and wanted you to succeed in your endeavors.

 Glenn as a good man. He was kind, loyal and a fun to be with. He will be missed.

Glenn leaves to cherish his memory  his loving and dedicated wife Stephanie Crabtree, daughters Heather Ransom (Travis) and Aisha Zanemvula (Sateesh), four grandchildren Kamau, Zuri Laila, Nkosi, his parents Donald and Rosemarie Crabtree , sisters, Julie (Van),  Shawn, Mindi and Kristin sister-in-law  Robin Robinson (Chris), brother in-law Anthony Strong and a host of niece. and nephews. Please keep the family in your prayers.
