JC Lane entered life on April 24, 1939 in McCool, Mississippi. He was the son of the late Charlie and Mae Bell Lane and was the eighth of eleven children. JC was preceded in death by the following siblings: Charles Davis, Wade, Victor, Mary, Orvilia and Ophelia.
JC accepted Christ at an early age at Rancher Hill Baptist Church, McCool, Mississippi.
In 1965 he married Betty Louise Edwards and from that union four children were born.
He searched and found the love of his life; Judith Marie Kaul, they joined in holy matrimony in 1999. From this union JC was blessed with a lifelong partner and gained a bonus daughter.
He spent most of his adult life running his own company, J. Lane Cement Contractors of Evanston, IL. This was the perfect job for him because he loved working with his hands, and it allowed him to meet a lot of different people. He had an extraordinary personality that made all he came in contact with instantly like him. He loved to tell a joke and had an infectious laugh that made you laugh right along with him. He had a big heart, if you needed a shirt and he knew it, he would give you the one right off his back.
JC and Judy decided to spend their golden years in Arizona. He loved to talk about the sunshine and warm weather, he really enjoyed Arizona and all it had to offer. BUT he loved nothing more than his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted and loving wife Judy, his children; Larry Edwards (Flor Jean) of Weir, MS, Leslie Lane Palmer (Donald) of Evanston, IL, Deborah Lane Maddox of Aurora, IL, Brenda Lane Perry (Anderson) of Sauk Village, IL Jay C Lane (Leesa) of Sacramento, CA, and Susan Connelly of Land O’ Lakes, FL, 14 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. He also leaves 1 sister, Mamie Cottrell of Des Plaines, IL, 3 brothers: Ladell (Glyn Dean) of Evanston, IL John of Ackerman, MS and Oliver (Katherine) of Chicago, IL. There are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends that will miss him dearly. Please keep the family in your prayers.
