On November 19, 1992, Kenneth Carrington Sandy, known as Kenny or Kenben, by family/friends was born to the parents of Gabrielle Phyllis Buchanan and Carlos Sandy. Years later he was accompanied by a sister, Kendra and finally Danielle. With the help of his grandmother Margaret, Kenny was raised alongside his sister Kendra with aunts/uncle Alexanda, Andre, and Andrea.
The five were raised together on Howard Street, where tons of memories were made...such as turning in every Monday and
Wednesday to watch VVWE WVVF; to Kenny always thinking he was Triple Il (flickering lights and spitting water in the air); finally, Kenny inviting the boys over after class to game out. Kenny soon found a passion and love for boxing. Ile attended training sessions at Loyola and soon start.cd mentoring others.
Kenny attended and graduated from Gale Academy he continued on to high school, briefly attended Sullivan Highschool then transferred to Evanston Township Highschool. At ETIIS, Kenny reconnected with cousins Dewayne and Nique. Kenny spent tons a lot of his time with his Aunt Earlcienne and AD.
Kenny graduated Evanston Township and attended Oakton Community College. On October 22, 2018, Kenny and girlfriend Kayla were blessed with a son, Kenny Darrell Sandy aka Lil Kenny aka KJ. Kenny had an amazing bond with his son and loved him dearly.
To know Kenny was to love him, his heard was bigger than his body, he never hesitated to do whatever he felt was right. He had a strong passion for those he loved and never hesitated to show it! Kenny left an imprint on everyone's heart and soul due to his genuine interaction with everyone! Please keep the family in your prayers.
