Ladell entered life on January 15, 1933, in McCool, Mississippi. He was the son of the late Charlie and Mae Bell Lane. He was the fifth of eleven children and was preceded in death by the following siblings, Charles, Wade, Victor, Mary, Ophelia, Orvilia, Jay and Sister-in-Law Helen Lane. Ladell accepted Christ at an early
age at Fancy Hill Baptist Church in McCool Mississippi. He was joined in holy matrimony in 1956 to the love of his life, Glyndean Lane.
He spent most of his adult life managing his own company: Ladell Lane Cement Contractor of Evanston IL. This was the perfect job for him because he loved working with his hands which allowed him to meet many people from various walks of life. He had an amazing personality that made all he came in contact with
instantly like him. He loved to tell funny stories and had a boisterous laugh that made you roar right along with him. He had a big heart and was such a generous and giving person. If someone were in need he did not hesitate to assist in whatever way, he could. He loved his wife and his family.
He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted and loving wife, Glyndean; his dedicated god daughter, Jade Watkins Campbell of Washington DC; one sister, Mamie Cottrell of Des Plaines IL; two brothers, John of Ackerman MS; and Oliver (Katherine) of Chicago IL. He will be missed by a host of nieces, nephews,
cousins and countless friends. Please keep the family in your prayers.
