Mr. Lafortune Estel Obituary

Lafortune Estel was born on December 15, 1960, in Petion Ville Haiti, to Gerard Estel and Francoise Estel (nee Cherilus).

On August 1 st, 2006, he married Marise Lubin. From this union, God chose not to give them any children.

To those who love the deceased he was "Fofo". He became paralyzed on his complete right side due to Polio Fever at the age of six.

He came to the US on April 22, 1997. Fofo was a faithful and dedicated husband and provider. He was hero. And as such the hero has fallen. Fofo never took a vacation from his job, due to his dream for him and his wife as a hard worker to travel and share a new home together. The tears that everyone sheds for Fofo today are not from people in the US only, but also in Haiti where he grew up and was always helping those in need.

This caring hero had a strong and faithful relationship with His maker, and redeemer, the Son of the true living God, Jesus Christ. God called him home on August 4th, 2024. The family remains trustful in Christ, that one day with the blessed hope we shall see him in the Heaven above, together we will participate at that welcome table and there we will be with Jesus forever.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Francoise Estel; his three brothers, Chaplain Gerald Estel, Pierre Claude Guillaume and Dr. Jean Savio Estel; his two sisters, Marie Miriam Estel and Medgine Louis; and Mr. & Mrs. Ecce-Homo Lubin.

He is survived by his dear and loving wife, Marise Estel Lubin; his four brother-in laws, Franky Lubin, Eval Lubin, Luxon Lubin and Bernard Lubin; his five sister-in-laws, Marie Ange Lubin, Nadine Lubin, Ecce Lune Lubin, Aline Faustin Estel and Megan Estel; his three nieces, Noadia I Estel, Sabine Devilme and Frangyne Duplan; his two nephews, Christorpher G. Estel and Matthew A. Estel; his aunt, Martess Paul; his many cousins, Pierre Richard Estel, Jean Daniel Estel, Chantal Estel, Carline Edmond, Evelyne Jean Denis, Margareth Chery, Gertrude Chery, Patrick Gay, Regina Jules (cousin and godmother), Pauline Bissainthe (cousin and her family), Mireille Bissainthe, Nadia Massillon, Giselle Massillon, Gary Gabriel, Magalie Jules, Mireille Jean, Jacqueline Jean, and the rest of cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends affected by this lost. Please keep the family in your prayers.
