Nicholas Nesta Thomas, also known as "Rambo", made his transition on April 10, 2023, at the age of 38. Nicholas was born in St. Catherine, Jamaica on June 11, 1984. He later migrated with.his family to Evanston, Illinois - in February 1989.
Nicholas spent his childhood with close family and friends being the energetic child God designed him to be. He attended Oakton, Chute, and Evanston Township High followed by The Art Institute of Chicago where he grew his creativity and enhanced his love of art, music, and design. He often spoke of owning his own production and clothing companies. He was extremely creative and loved to put broken pieces together to create something new. He had a knack for making the broken things whole again. He had a passion and love for music like no other and totally lived for his Jamaican culture. Family was everything to him.
Nicholas had a long successful career with the Westmoreland Country Club where he helped to enhance and change the golfing experience of its patrons. They loved and adored him and his presence there will be sorely missed. He loved to share his spirituality, philosophy, and ideology with others, constantly reminding us to "bless-up" ourselves and always have positive vibes. Nicholas loved his daughter and dedicated his life to loving and caring for her in a manner that exceeded even his expectations.
Nicholas has left behind an insurmountable depth of perseverance and determination. No one has been knocked down and stood up more. His love and care for others will be missed along with his overwhelmingly warm smile and calming presence.
