Ramon Perez Godwin affectionately known as Meghito was born October 23, 1956, to the Union of Nellie Daniels and Ramon
Godwin in Guantanamo Cuba. Ramon Perez Godwin and his family migrated to the United States in April 1962. He attended Evanston School and began working and retired from Craine packing.
He was a jack of all trades that could fix anything with a piece of wire and a screw. On most days you could find him making some of his famous BBQ and homemade BBQ sauce watching the grill like a BBQ chef.
He accepted Christ at an early age and continued his faithful study until he was called home on Saturday, December 11, 2021, to join his father Ramon Perez Godwin, Mother Nellie D. Daniels Riley, sister Leonor P. Massie, Otis Riley, Grandma Ann Daniels, and nephew Bruce Godwin.
Ramon Perez Godwin leaves to cherish his memories, his beautiful wife Vanessa Perez Godwin, son James Perry (wife
Shantell Perry), daughter Angela Perry, sister Juanita Wells (husband Kenny Wells), and a host of uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and family friends.
Most know him by his huge smile and big laugh. He loved and protected his family and friends. His memory lives on in all of us. Please keep the family in your prayers.
