Roderick was born on June 8, 1970, to his loving parents Dora Lee Wright and Robert Lee Rogers. Although they have preceded him in death, their memory and influence on Roderick's life will forever remain. Roderick was also the youngest brother of Anthony and David, who have also passed away before him.
Roderick received his education from the Evanston Public School Systems, where he developed a thirst for knowledge. He furthered his studies at Coyne Technical Institute and earned several certifications, showcasing his dedication to personal GROWTH and professional DEVELOPMENT. Throughout his life, Roderick had a deep passion for reading, movies, football, and fishing. However, above all else, his greatest love was his family. Roderick's love language to the world was providing. Despite any mistakes he may have made, he touched the lives of many with his acts of kindness and generosity. On May 14, 2023, Roderick transitioned from this earthly realm, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, and strength.
Roderick is survived by his seven beloved children: Teira, Trisha, Tamara, Karodd, Larissa, Hisani, and Trinity. He was a cherished father and role model to each of them. Roderick's twelve grandchildren, Camrynn, Christian, Tristynn, Kierre, Kailey, Aiyana, Akilah, Courvoisier, Dakota, and Dontrell, brought immense joy to his life. · Among his siblings, Roderick is remembered by his four brothers: Barry, Alfred, Champ, and Lee, and his two sisters: Janice and Jackie. Their bond was unbreakable, and their memories together will forever be cherished.
Roderick's extended family also held a special place in his heart. He leaves behind two aunts, Pearl and Dot, and an uncle named Robert. His special cousins, Sharon, Treta, and Danielle "Pookie," shared a unique connection with him. Roderick's best friend and cousin, Bobby, was a constant source of support and companionship.
