Samuel B. Shettleworth, affectionately known as Segree, was born in Westmoreland, Jamaica on January 18, 1938, to the late Ebenezer and Violet Shettleworth. After completing high school in Jamaica, he went on to work as a Security Guard and Taxi Driver, where he was well known by the taxi number 5A. In the summer of 1980, he was united in marriage to Laurel Campbell. He migrated to the United States in 1981, and began a career in the Linen Services department at Evanston Hospital Samuel retired from Evanston Hospital, and he and his wife relocated to Jacksonville, Florida, in 2002. They lived there for several years until he became iIl. Sam and Laurel once again relocated back to Illinois in 2018, where be lived in Waukegan until his passing. Samuel was known for his love of books, music, sports (especially boxing), and his great sense of humor. He leaves to cherish his memory; his loving wife of 39yrs, Laurel, Son, Segree (Ametra), daughters, Angie, Diana (late Donovan), Sandra (Oleva),Charmaine (Dain), Pauline, Maxine, Camille, and Chalean. 10 sisters, 7 brothers, 21 grandchildren,10 great grandchildren, and a host of other loving
relatives and friends who will rejoice in his memory.
