Yvenson Tertulien was born on November 21, 1983, in Haiti to Immacula and Yvon. His early years were spent with his loving grandmother, Millosa, and Aunt Marie. In 1994, he moved to the United States to join his father, stepmother Junette, and siblings Jennifer and Graigory in Chicago, IL.
After relocating to Evanston in 1995, Yvenson attended Oakton Elementary School, followed by Chute Middle School, and graduated from Evanston Township High School in 2002. Throughout his youth, he had a strong interest in soccer, video games, anime, cars, music, and electronics.
Post high school, he briefly attended Northeastern University before joining the army and completing two tours in Iraq and the Persian Gulf. It was during his time in New York that he met his wife, Nancy. They lived in South Carolina and Texas, where their son Nickson Alexander was born in 2010, before moving to Florida, where their daughter Sophia Gabrielle was born in 2013.
Yvenson was preceded in death by his grandfather Defils and cousin Juani and is survived by his children Sophia and Nickson, wife Nancy, parents, Yvon, Immacula, and Junette, grandmother Millosa, aunts Marie and Mona, siblings Jennifer, Graigory, and
Jordanny, as well as numerous cousins including Rousseleau, Sn ser, Jeff, Jonathan, Patricia, Marie Andre, and Andy.
