Barbara Jean Cannon was born in Greensboro, AL to the late Namon Hobson and Opehlia Hobson. She was the oldest of 2 children, her younger sister being Bessie.
Barbara entered into a union of marriage with Dock Cannon Sr. They relocated to Evanston, IL where they were blessed with two sons; Tom Cannon Sr and Dock Cannon Jr. Barbara was later baptized at Mount Zion Baptist Church where she accepted Christ. She was a member of the Usher board. She was a hard-working lovable teacher at Robinson Daycare Center at 2323 Lake st in Evanston for many families. She was loved by many and well respected in the community. Barbara enjoyed going out dancing with her husband, shopping of course, definitely hosting BBQ's and most of all going back and forth to Alabama to their farm.
Barbara leaves behind her husband of 62 years, Dock Cannon Sr. Sister: Bessie Richardson (Ray) Sons: Tom Cannon Sr and Dock Cannon Jr (Lisa), 3 grandchildren: Tom "Rudy" Cannon Jr, Tiffany Cannon and Jovonn Norman and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. Please keep the family in your prayers.
