Betty Jean Harris Was born January 30th, 1927. She was the daughter of the late Margaret Hunter and Euclid Lawrence.
Betty was married to the late Garnald Harris where they raised 3 beautiful Children together. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother.
Betty attended the Evanston School System and later became a Caregiver, whish she really loved to do.
Betty attended Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Evanston, which brought her love for the church and God closer to her heart. Betty loved many things like shopping, which gave her joy. Crochet and needle point Were another one of her favorite hobbies. Betty loved to travel with her daughter Elaine and to explore new things. She always said, "You need to go on a cruise and see the world!"
Betty Jean Harris was was called home January 5th, 2024, in the presence of her loving family to be with God.
She is preceded in death by, Garnald Marris (Husband), Alverta (Chester) William; (Daughter), Marvin Harris (Son). Her siblings: Grace (Edward) Godwin, Mary Ann Kennedy, James Hunter, Howard (Donzeleigh) Hunter and to Include the Lawrence Family.
She Ieaves to cherish in her memory: One daughter, Elaine (Wilfred) Nettles from Gulfport, MS, one sister Diane (Luddie) Johnson from Kenosha, WI and one brother, Charles (Ellen) Lawrence from Detroit, MI. She has 2 Granddaughters: Sonji Taylor from North Carolina and Halona (Kenneth) Bush from South Carolina. One Grandon, Michael (Melissa) Harris. She has Great Grandchildren, 10 Great Great Grandchildren and a 'Host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Please keep the family in your prayers.
