Mrs. Beverly Lewis Obituary

Beverly Ann Lewis graced us with her presence on this earth on April 9, 1962. Born in Belize City, Belize, Beverly was the first child of Gene and Patricia Lewis. She was called to our Heavenly Father at the age of 59 on June 15,2021 in Evanston, Illinois.

She attended Holy Redeemer School and went on to Saint Catherine Academy High School. After graduating she worked for BTA - Belize Telecommunications Authority for several years. She later migrated to California in the early 90's where she worked for her father at G ML Insurance
before moving to New Jersey. In New Jersey, she married Victor Munnings and lived and worked there for many years. After a long illness she moved to Chicago where she spent her last few years with her mother. Having remained friends, Victor checked on Bev daily.

During her childhood, Bev and her brother Juny spent most of their summers and other holidays at the home of their grandparents in Dangriga along with their aunts and cousins. These were endless days of fun, beach time and play with cousins and friends. Beverly loved her family and friends dearly. A very independent person, she was kind and loving and very considerate of others. Bev showed immeasurable strength during her illness. Despite how
she might be feeling on any given day, she never let on to her discomfort and was always available for a good conversation and a hearty laugh. To her younger cousins, Bev was more like a big sister, confidante and friend. She was fun, full oflife and gave of herself freely and wholeheartedly. Her
laughter was contagious and her energy remained exuberant. We are truly blessed to maintain our treasured memories of Bev and will forever hold her close to our hearts.

Beverly Ann Lewis is preceded in her homecoming by her father Gene Lewis, her grandparents Marie Young, Vicente and Braulia Lewis, and her uncle, Roy Yorke. Beverly is survived by her mother Patricia Lewis, her brothers Eugene Lewis Jr., Joshua Lewis, and her sisters Carolyn Ojikutu and Karen Lewis, her brother-in-law Bayo Ojikutu, nephew Malik Ojikutu, and her niece Leandrea Lewis. Beverly will be deeply missed by her spouse Victor
Munnings, her aunts Grace Orozco, Rosalind Diego, Gretta Lewis, Lena Newton, Felicia Smith and Marva Lewis, as well as her BFFs and lifelong friends, Elena Edwards, Shelly Bulwer and Shermadine Coleman, along with a host of cousins and friends who love her dearly please keep the family in your prayers.
