Brenda Joyce Bostick Davis was the second of four children born to Oscar and Rebecca Davis on September 20, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois.
Brenda spent her childhood in Evanston, Illinois where she attended Foster School, Skiles junior Higl1 School, and graduated from
Evanston Township High School.
During her adult years, she worked in various fields and excelled at every task - no matter the difficulty. She met different people from all
walks of life and to know her was to love her. Her infectious laugh and smile would brighten any room. She was united in holy matrimony to
John Antonio Bostick Sr. on February 14,1979. This union was blessed with tour children. John preceded her in death.
Brenda enjoyed listening to music; she loved to dance (Chicago stepping). She was also an avid pool player. She loved to cook and
have family time, as well. Brenda was a spiritual woman and gave her life to Christ at an early age. While growing up, she attended Faith
Temple Church of' God in Christ in Evanston under the direction of Bishop Carlis Moody, Sr. Brenda was also a founding member of "The
Evanston Remembrance Picnic Committee" which celebrates & honors the lives of legendary Evanstonian 's. Brenda had a keen sense of
fashion and loved to shop. One other greatest triumphs was being a mother to her four children. She instilled morals and values in them
at an early age. No matter what may have troubled her, she was always available to be a listening ear for her children. One of the final
highlights of her life was in 2019 when she traveled to Mexico with long-time friends.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar & Rebecca Davis along with her siblings, Sharone and Michael Davis.
Brenda departed this life on November 23, 2022, after battling various illnesses. One thing about Brenda is despite battling illnesses, she
always showed remarkable strength and perseverance. There was never any sign of quitting the Doctors never had the final say so; her faith
in God and Love for her children and grandchildren kept her going. Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her four
children: John, Casey (Javon), Delores (Justin), and Delaina (Michael), seven grandchildren; Casey II, Jalen, Micah, Arielle, Amare, Jeremiah,
& Cayden. Sister: Bobbi Sue (Tony). A host of brother and sister- in-Law's, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Devoted friends - Ethel
King t, Elizabeth Sayles, and Shirley johnson. Please keep the family in your prayers.
