Mrs. Dianne Aiden Obituary

Dianne Octavia Aiden, 78, returned to her heavenly home on October 30, 2022 after a courageous battle with a long illness. Her devotion to her family and her firm belief in God strengthened her during this struggle, and ultimately gave her Peace.

Dianne Octavia Foster Aiden was born on September 28, 1944 in Evanston, Illinois to Louis Foster Sr. and Mary Burton Foster; she was the youngest of three children born to that union. She attended the Evanston public school system and was employed as a bus driver for many years. Dianne was known for her love of music, in fact she had an extensive album collection that she was very proud of. And, although she enjoyed various music artists, her favorite singers were Bobby Womack, Aretha Franklin, Sam Cooke and Teddy Pendergrass. She could cut a rug too! Oh, how she enjoyed getting out on the dance floor showing off her moves - and PLEASE don't let the song 'Get Up, Get Down, Get Funky, Get Loose by Teddy Pendergrass come on, because Dianne was going to Get Up, Get Down, Get Funky and Get Loose!! She loved to listen to Gospel music too- her favorite artist was Rance Allen.

Dianne had really good friends that she loved and they loved her right back. They truly enjoyed being around each other. Joannie, Carolyn (Push), Brenda, Shirley, Emma, Marva Ann, Roseann and Virginia ... each had a very special place in her heart. She also had a good time when she was hanging out with her cousins Kim and Jackie too. Dianne would often talk about the fun that she and her cousins had growing up. When she would reminisce about her childhood and the fun memories that she shared with Joe Jr., Mena and Bruce, as well as her other cousins, the biggest smile would come onto her face, and she would laugh so hard! As the years passed, she developed a love for going to yard/garage sales, more recently it became a passion for shopping at 'The Sal' (The Salvation Army Store) and The Dollar Store. Dianne was an avid dog lover and she owned many dogs over the years- her favorite breed was the German Shepherd. In fact, she actually became a 'Dog Walker' for a few years - she loved it!

Dianne was blessed with a large and loving family- she was the mother of six children, grandmother of 19 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren. She is dearly loved and will be dearly missed. She leaves to forever cherish her memory her sons: Millard (Chuck'e), Rodney and Ricco; her daughters: Tina (Richard) and Darris; her grandchildren: Robbie, Richard, Nico, Taiese, Sharicka, Ricco, Dominick, Amber, Aaron, Shade', Cierra, Sklar, Shaw niece, Rodney, Rhania, Shatia, Cassandra, Kyla Rae and Kennedi; 35 great- grandchildren, her beloved brother Louis Foster Jr., dear sister-in-law Linda, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Dorothy; and her daughter Mary. Please keep the family in your prayers.
