Dorothy M. Palmer was born April B, 1943 to Mary L Bryson and Jesse Harris, both of New Albany, Mississippi. Two other children were born of their union. After a brief marriage, Mary Lou, met Willie L Spears and from this union seven children were born making Dorothy the third oldest of 10 siblings.
Dorothy received Christ at an early age and was a member of Watson Grove Baptist Church. Dorothy attend Union County Training School in New Albany, Mississippi where she graduated in 1960. Dorothy later moved to Evanston, I L where she gained employment at Crane and married her first husband, Lloyd McBell Dorothy was later united in holy matrimony to Donald Palmer. Children from this union, Donnie (Leslie), Palmer, Jr., (Evanston, IL) Sherri Palmer (Donovan & Nancy) (New York, NV), Arlando (Willetta, Minah, Jaimon) Palmer, Cassandra (Adrian, Aubree) Powell (Atlanta, GA)
Her greatest love was her chiId care business where she was known as "Aunt Dorothy" for thirty years.
Dorothy is survived by siblings John H. Harris (Gwen), Tom's River NJ. Harry D. Spears (Melodee), James F. Spears (Carolyn), Cecelia D. Spears of Kansas City, MO. Dorothy is preceded in death by her brothers Jesse Harris, Willie Spears, and Richard Spears; his sisters Janice Woodruff and Mary Barnes. Please keep the family in your prayers.
