Obituary

Evie Millicent McEwan, born on the 10th day of September 1934 in Wilsons Run Trelawny, Jamaica to Uda Logan and Alice Prendegrast (Morn) and Evelyn Logan (Step-Morn).

As a young woman she was a dedicated worker at a local hardware store before starting and managing her own local business. While living in Jamaica Evie was an active member of Troy Baptist Church. She sang on the choir and helped with other Church activities. It was important to her that those who were in the house attended Church. Evie migrated to the United States in November of 1987 where she resided in Evanston, Illinois. Cooking was her pride and joy. She was an amazing cook and spent af least 20 years cooking for the staff and residents at Saint Scholastica High School.

She especially enjoyed cooking delicious meals for her family but was always ready, willing and available to cook for anyone and any occasion. Her favorite pastime included cooking, crocheting, and watching her favorite T.V shows. Evie has left a legacy of generosity. She was very kind to everyone who carne across her path. She loved to give to charities and anyone who had a need. Evie passed away at horne on the 27th day of May where she was surrounded by her loving family and friends. She leaves a void. May we hold the memories of our (grandma, marna, and Ms. Evie) as she was lovingly called dear to our hearts. She is survived by her seven children, Patrick Levy, Delroy Levy (Marlene), Troy Levy (Joan), Charmaine Levy, Peter Levy (Lela), Effie Thomas (Michael) and Carlton Bailey (Brenda). She is also survived by 27 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Please keep thefamily in your prayers.
