She traveled from Missbsippi to Florida. New York. Sandusky Ohio and eventually moved to Chicago. Illinois in 1970.

By 1971 she'd moved to Evanston. Illinois withher Aunt Pudding and uncleFarman. Gennie Sue always worked, she put in 28 years in the nursing field before retiring early. Once her grandkids were born they became her daily life and priority. He children and Jay were her everything, There was nothing she wouldn't do for any of them. Her boys held the key to her heart, Each one of them was special to her. Steven looks like Jay. but he shared the funny, outgoing, joking; personality, as his mother, Steven was her "big body". No matter right, or wrong or indifferent she had his back to the end.

RoneIIe was her twin unlike Steven, Ronelle is more like Jay with his old school ways and beliefs, Ronelle had the same laid-back demeanor as his mother. They both loved playing old school R & B. while cleaning up the house. This Iwas every Saturday in our house for years.

Her baby girl Kendra Michelle. Kendra is a replica of (Gennie Sue in her days. Her upbeat, outgoing charming personality draws people to her like her mother. Kendra's love of fashion, hair, clothes, and high heels all came from her mother or her mothers friends. Growing  up anywhere you saw Gennie Sue and
,J.B, Kendra was not far behind,. She loved being with her parents, they had an unbreakable bond. Gennie Sue knew she could always call on "Shane aka Kendra- if she needed anything. Kendra was her daughter, bestfriend, and helper. If she needed anything. she'd "let me cull Putty Kat." She knew
Kendra maybe late. but she always came through.

After Kendra Gennie Sue thought she was done having children. but to her surprise here comes another babyboy name Kenny Boyd aka (Kenny Parker). Kenny, was the baby of the bunch", Gennic Sue held Kenny's hand all his life due to the age gap. In her eyes Kenny would never grew-up until he had a baby. Then it was time to Ieave the nest,

Gennie Sue and J.B. Boyd Jr  were a special of love. One that stood against all odds, ups and downs. The truly complimented each other. Jay the stern disciplinary old school parent. While Gennie Sue as the nurturing, comforting and loving parent. Together they helped shape the lives of so many people
over the years. She was the Ying to his vise versa if you knew Gennie Sue then you knew Jay. There unbreakable union and love stood the test of time lasting one year shortof 5 decades until God called them both home.
