Gloria Idolly Herrera was born in Stann Creek, Belize, on August 24th, 1933 to Bridgette Middleton and Modesto Herrera. She married Raymond Cattouse and was a loving mother to her children Jennifer Cattouse, Steven Cattouse, Gregory Anthony Cattouse, Michael Martin Cattouse, Dorla Yvonne Cattouse, Allea Marie Cattouse, Stephen Harold Cattouse, Therese Valerie Cattouse, Edward Everette Dale Cattouse-Campbell and Kimberly Ann Gloria Idolly.
Gloria, known as Ma to most, was a God fearing woman who read her bible and strengthened her connection to God through daily prayer and supplication. Ma's love for God allowed her to pour love into all of our cups with each encou, fter. Seeking a better life for her family, Gloria immigrated to the US in 1969 and her children soon followed behind her.
She was a proud, hard-working woman, dedicated to her children and every child that entered into her family after them. She was a mother to all, born with the gift to make everyone feel welcome, loved and special. Not only was she a great cook who stuck to her Belizean roots, but she was blessed with the talent of taking a little and making it just enough.
Gloria's family flourished, adding 29 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren to her beautiful legacy. To know her was to love her, she loved and was loved by so many. No matter the time or space, she will never be forgotten. She is preceded in death by her parents, son Steven Cattouse, daughters Jennifer Cattouse and Dorla Cattouse, grandson Michael Cattouse, Jr. and great grandson Jaden Davis. She entered into eternal life on Mother's Day, May 14, 2023, befitting such a beautiful soul known as Mom to so many. Please keep the family in your prayers.
