Henrietta Frances Johnson (Grigsby) was born on January 25, 1930 to the late Tommie & Henry Grigsby in Chicago, IL. Henrietta attended St. Mary’s Catholic Schoo1 and was active' in numerous tasks and volunteer activities within the parish.
Henrietta spent her life caring for children. In addition to raising her own children, she pursued various jobs and volunteer opportunities. including nursing classes; at Mallinckrodt College, health clerk at Nichols School, Child Care Assistant at several elementary schools and spent 40 years with the Evanston School Children's Clothing Association. She also received IL. State Board of Education service award of recognition for those who
Excel education award for volunteer hours at Nichol school post retirement,
Henrietta lived a full independent life until she required more attentive continuous care. She endured her recent health challenge until the Lord called her home. She departed this life on Saturday, September 18, 202I. Even though her body is physicality gone from sight her sprint lives on in each of us who knew and loved her, she will live forever in the memory of her children, Linda Webb, James Johnson Jr. (both of Evanston) Cathryn Watson (Kenneth) Mount Prospect, IL. Bernadette Chatman (Aaron), and Marcella Heinrich & Wayne Johnson both of whom preceded her in death ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, close friends, and an incredibly special niece Cynthia Mayfield. Please keep the family in your prayers,
