Mrs. Janetta Davis, daughter of James Vann and Lela-Irene Henderson, was born on August 9, 1953. She attended elementaryand high school in Chicago, Illinois. She held several jobs over the years, working as an Industral Laborer, in Illinois and Minnesota.
Janetta loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She loved her nieces and nephews. She just loved people. She enjoyed helping others, who were really in need of help, especially those who had children. She was committed to ensuring that her kids as well as other kids she helped to care for, each had what they needed. She taught them life lessons, so they would not make the same mistakes in life she made. Helping others gave her a sense of satisfaction. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by many. Janetta attended church faithfully, affirming her faith in God, and had been a member of Abundant Life Church. Her belief in God rubbed off on others. She held on to her faith in God, even when she was no longer able to attend church on a regular basis.
Janette made her earthly transition on July 12, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Vann and Lela-Irene Henderson; her daughter Erica Madden; and her sister Julia Vann-Saenz, Ola Mae Vann-Thomas, Patricia Vann-Dixon, and Joanne Vann-Neal. Her family and friends honor her by celebrating her life and passing on life lessons she taught us all to others.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Fredrick Vann, Eric Madden, Larrise Fletcher, and Larry Fletcher; her 14 grandchildren-Fredrick, Christopher, Fredricka, Taniya, Clarence, Nishawn, Envi, Isis, Tee'rra, Cedrick, Lakyla, L.
