Joann Elizabeth Glover better known to family and friends as "Petecy" was born on February 1, 1938 to Joseph and Viola Wideman Mims. Joan was the fourth born of seven children. Joan attended school in the Evanston Public School Districts. At an early age, she gave her life to Christ at Second Baptist Church under the pastorate of Reverend Nathan Hawk. Joan was employed by Honeywell where she retired after many years. She then became gainfully employed at ComEd where she worked for over 20 plus years as a supervi-sor. Joan was preceded in death by her parents and all of her siblings: Oliver Watt, Jr., Mildred Watt, Phyllis Morange, Joe Mims, Wesley Mims, Sr., and Clyde Mims, Joan leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Darice (Darrell) Duncan-Harris and Charmaine Clark. Her legacy will continue through her eight grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren. She also leaves to cherish her memories nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
