Mrs. Mavis Cameron Obituary

Today we reflect and pay respect to the life of Mavis Cameron (affectionately called Punsey), She was born to Henry and Myrtella Allen on May 2,1952 in Mandeville, Manchester, Mavis attended the Hatfield Primary and Technical schools where she learned many skills: As her desire for a family grew Mavis later became a mother to Neville Johnson, Arlene Johnson and Michael Fuller. She would later meet and marry the love of her life Mr Clyde Cameron in Greenvale and the couple made Huntley their homestead. The two shared a genuine love for cooking and worked as chefs and bakers: After many years of building a
life together they along with daughter Tashan Marlene Cameron, now Mrs. Boothe: migrated and settled here in Illinois.

Mavis' legacy includes children Neville Johnson (deceased), Arlene Johnson, and Michael Fuller, Tashan Cameron Boothe, 9 grandchildren. 3 brothers (Alvin, Anthony and Rochester Alien), 5 sisters (Pameila, Beverely, Cynthia, Lorna and Juliet Alien), nephews, many relatives and friends. Though Ms. Cameron wasn't an avid Church attendee she was a woman of great faith who made prayer her foundation, and she always read her Bible. She was kind, loving,
very family oriented and took great pride in being a homemaker as she played an active role in raising Shamari, Kimora and Kaylee Boothe. Her rare golden personality was evident in the amazing relationship she shared with her son in love Aldrick.

Mavis was a woman of very few words and she believed highly in respect, so when she spoke it was direct, yet in a loving way as all her friends can attest, she was very observant and keen on order, elegance and neatness, and always strived 100 to be the peacemaker. Life is a journey of thousands miles and all starts with one step, with every obstacle, after every challenge, after all her victory's  you take one step after the other, Mavis has arrived at the end of her earthly journey and days of counting steps. She now reunites with her husband and dear son on the other side of forever. She is and will always be missed:
and holds a very special places in our hearts. May her soul rest In peace.
