Obituary

Ruby E Jones Davis was born in Harlem, Georgia in 1926. Shortly thereafter her and her family moved to Evanston, Illinois. In 1957 she married Leroy Davis and over the next 6 years they had 3 children, Brigid, Lance and Scott. She worked for the Army at Fort Sheridan in Illinois and in the 70's went on to become a real estate agent, selling homes along the north shore of Chicago for the next 10 years.

She left real estate and became an administrator of college testing programs. Upon retiring she got involved making ceramics, collecting beanie babies, playing solitaire, and doing the daily crossword puzzle. She moved away from Chicago in 2003 to the warmer climate of South Florida and finally settling in Houston, Texas in 2008.

She suffered from the disease of dementia in her later and final years.

She was preceded in death by her husband who passed away in 2006. She is survived by her three children, 2 Daughter-in-laws, 1 Son-in­ law, 4 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Please keep the family in your prayers.
