Ms. Charnette Walker Obituary

Our beloved Charnette Walker was born on February 3, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois to the holy union of Jerry and Velma Walker. She was the oldest of 3 children. Her father Jerry Walker, grandmother Gladys Walker, grandmother Bernice (Dyris) Hart, grandfather Willie Hart Sr., step-father LeVoyus (Lee) Towns, aunt Rosa Stewart and aunt Linda Byndom preceded her in death.
Charnette accepted Christ as her personal savior at a very early age. She became a member of New Hope Lutheran Church under the leadership of Pastor Michael Steinke where she was baptized, sang in the choir and served as a faithful member for many years.
She attended Austin High School in Chicago, Illinois and attained her Food Service Certificate. She then began a career working with the elderly preparing and serving meals. Charnette was also an entrepreneur, she was a master nail technician who could bling out your nails in any theme as well as creating unique special occasion baskets. Charnette loved to shop and was always crafting or decorating especially for holidays and birthdays with adding her own special touch of sparkle and shine. She was a sensational roller-skater and enjoyed riding her motor bike.
Charnette loved her family and took pride in assisting with raising her granddaughter Shayanni (BUBBLES) Walker. Her humor, wisdom and loving smile will be remembered in our hearts always.
On Saturday June 15, 2024 at 2:00 a. m. her life was tragically taken.
Charnette leaves to cherish her legacy of love; mother Velma Walker Towns, daughter Charquandra (SUGGIE) Walker, granddaughter Shayanni (BUBBLES) Walker, two brothers Jerry Walker and Terrance Walker. She had a special endearing relationship with aunt Molly Funches, cousin Lanette Stewart and family friend Mae Seals along with a host of relatives and friends. Please keep the family in your prayers.
