Crystal Nicole Neverdon was born on June 18, 1973 in Chicago, Illinois and was the beloved and only child of Ralph and Pearl Neverdon.
Crystal grew up on the far north side of Chicago. Where she attended St. Ita Grammar School, Mount Carmel Junior High School and graduated from Lincoln Park High School class of 1991. Although she had some health challenges, Crystal's spirit of persistence was demonstrated when she would not give up, and worked hard to graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing Research from Columbia College, Chicago, Illinois.
Crystal loved her parents and demonstrated her love with thousands of acts of kindness. By her own admission, she was the true definition of a "daddy's girl". As a little girl, whenever someone did something she did not like she was quick to warn them “I am going to tell my daddy.”
Crystal is described by her friends as loyal, bright, inquisitive, dignified and at times, just a little bit geeky. She had a love of travel, and was always excitedly planning her next trip. Her favorite color was purple, which was appropriate for the regal way she carried herself, and her self proclaimed love affair with the artist Prince. She was a true foodie, and fashion diva, and eating and shopping were some of her favorite past times. She was a sweet spirit and was beautiful inside and out.
Crystal was baptized at The Church Of The Atonement where she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior.
The Lord mercifully welcomed Crystal hone on Thursday March 25, 2021 where she joined her maternal grandparents Wilton and Gretrude Blackwell, her paternal grandparents Thomas and Dolly Neverdon, her uncles William Blackwell, Ansel Blackwell, Anthony Neverdon, and her aunts Ollie Blackwell, and Shirley Blackwell.
