Ingrid Marie Houston was born into the union of Burley Houston and Harriet Houston Wilson on September 18, 1966 in Evanston, Illinois. She attended Evanston school system and was a tremendous athlete. She ran track and took her team downstate to Washington. She was on the first cheerleading team for Haven Middle School and she also played on the Drum and Bugle team at Fleetwood Jourdain.
Ingrid was always known as the life of the party. Whenever the music was playing you could look forward to Ingrid dancing and would dance the night away. She was a kind spirit, always happy and very kind hearted. She loved her family and friends dearly and if you knew her she would give you an affectionate nickname.
Ingrid was called home on her mother's birthday on the morning of September 10th peacefully in her home. She was proceeded in death by her mother Harriet Houston, sister Crystal Houston, stepfather Dell King, grandparents Elizabeth Cokley Wilson, Donald Wilson, Clarence Sanders, Albert Houston, Emma Houston, uncle Butley Houston, cousins David and Daryl Houston, little cousins Floyd Gibert Jr., DeMarcus Cokley and best friend Christi Harkness. Ingrid leaves to cherish her father Burley(Helen) Houston, son Kevin Houston, daughter Lanay Houston, her fiance Chris McGuire, only brother Bradley (Damita)Wilson, sisters Camille (Joey)Wilson, Karla Houston, granddaughter Nashly
Houston, stepdaughter Jacqui (Kevin) McGuire Davitt, stepson Austin McGuire, step grandson Finn McGuire Davitt, stepsister Tina McCallister, stepbrothers Andre and Benjamin McCallister, nieces Sharika, Javonna and Ariel, nephews Kyle, Christopher, Trevor, Avrell, Dominick, Ricco and Demarco. A very special aunt Mary Cokley and a host of other aunts, uncles, great nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family. A very special thanks to Chris for his tireless dedication and love he gave Ingrid. Ingrid said farewell to many of her friends who she now joins in heaven with the upmost respect and love.
