Jerri Dawn Warlick was born to George (Bob) and Madeline Warlick on September 21, 1962 in Evanston, Illinois. She was the 2nd of 3 girls.
Dawn attended the Evanston school system as well as the Illinois Institute of Art. She was blessed artistically and poetically. Smart as a whip and always challenging herself to pursue greater, Dawn obtained her CDLs and became a charter bus driver for the VA and Infiniti. Dawn also gave of herself to help many others giving of her time, knowledge and love to homeless women with children and people in crisis. Prior to her illness she worked for Xfinity until she could no longer.
Dawn was a devoted daughter and loved her three children Britney (Rex), Troy (Linda) and Michael (Julie). She was preceded in death by her Dad. She leaves to mourn her children Britney, Troy and Michael, as well as her Mom, her very devoted companion, Nicholas Brooks who never left her side, her sisters Portia and Robin and 9 grandchildren Autumn, Rex, Raishawn, Aerinae, Marquell, Aujinae, Denice, Camryne, and Cymphani, as well as a host of loving family and associates. As her illness progressed, cousin Cheryl, stood in the gap for us with her nursing expertise insuring her transitional care to hospice was facilitated and that she was kept as comfortable as possible. Cousin Reggie also stepped in checking up on her as she and Reggie had an unbreakable bond. Dawn transitioned the night of December 27th peacefully.
She was loved by many and touched the lives of all who she encountered. Her lively spirit and beautiful smile will never be forgotten. Rest in peace Dawn, we love you.
