Ms. Judy Ann Edelen

Judy Ann Edelen was born October 4, 1948, in Evanston, Illinois to Charles and Pauline Edelen. She was one of ten siblings. Judy was educated through the Evanston Public School System. In 1966, Judy gradated from Evanston Township High School (ETHS).

Judy went on to work for North Shore Medical Group for thirty years before retiring in 2013. Judy was a loving and nurturing woman. She was loved by all who she encountered. She was all about family. Judy loved her family deeply and more than anything in the world. After the death of her sister Mattie Harmon, Judy and her brother-in-law William Harmon took on the responsibility of raising Mattie's five grandchildren ; Dajuan, Torrey, and Diane Harmon, Tiffany and Eric Davis, Jr. Judy took on the role of being their mother and grandmother graciously.

Judy has a passion for old school music, She loved the Temptations. Judy had a kind and compassionate spirit. she enjoyed going out to eat and to eat and to the casino. On Tuesday, September 29, 2020, Judy transition from her fleshly life to her eternal life where she was reunited with her parents; her brother Paul and sisters Mattie and Marilyn; nieces Karen and Cheryl; nephew William " Bo-Bo", and great-niece Diane. Judy leaves to cherish her memory, siblings: Joan (Britt) Samuels of Placentia, CA, Carolyn (John*) Butler of Atlanta, GA, Charlene (David*) Jones of Evanston, IL, Edward Edelen of San Diego, CA, Charles (Pecola) Edelen of Culver City, CA, and Elizabeth Edelan of Evanston, IL; as well as a host of other relatives. A special recognition is giving to Judy's great niece and nephews, Andre Watkins, Maya Butler, Omari Andrews Jr., Lanae Kennedy, Trista, Tiana, and Jaylin Harmon, serenity Pryor-Davis, Nasir Andrews, Eric Davis 3rd, and Ahseir Andrews.
