Pearline Wadsworth Solas was born on January 11, 1931 in her mother's house in Bellas Gate, a Parish of St. Cathe- rine in Jamaica. Her mother was Margaret Louise Levien and her father was James So, las. She lived at various places in Jamaica: Constant Spring in St. Andrew, Allman Town, Withfield Town, Greenwich Farm & Kidlane in Kingston. A* a young age she went to live with one of her aunts where she learned sewing and cleaning. Thereafter, she worked at a shirt factory on Orange Street, & Vicker & Co. in Kingston selling appliances. While walking on North Street one morning Pearline met her husband, Clarence Jackson. They were married for over 60 yeqrs. She faithfully took care of him before he passed away 6 years ago. In 1967, she migrated to the U.S. as an Au Pair and took care of a family on Lake Shore Drive. The majority of her life she did housekeeping and worked for 10 years at a retirement home called, Homecrest in Evanston. Streets she lived on in Evanston include: Florence, Darrow & Lemar. Pearline loved to cook, garden, watch tv, listen to Moody radio station, shop, take pictures & her favorite thing to do is to talk on the phone. She departed this life on Thursday, September 24, 2020 at the age of 89. She leaves behind 7 children, 14 grand- children, 15 great-grandchildren, 2 daughter in-laws, 2 n in-laws, 3 sisters, lots of nieces/nephews & "whole hep friend dem"
