Noel George Wilson, 85, the eighth of eleven children, was born to Norman and Isabella Wilson on May 24, 1938, in Kellits, Clarendon, Jamaica.
While in Jamaica, he attended Good Hope school in Kellits. Shortly thereafter, his family relocated to Content, St. Andrew where he attended Golden Valley Elementary school. After he left school, he went to live with his brother Samuel Wilson in Hunts Pen, Clarendon.
In 1965 he married the love of his life Lucent Hermina German. Their union produced eight children: Norva Wilson, Nave Wilson (Marie), Paula Gumbs (Maxime), Tranquil Wilson, Orion Wilson (Jeannie), Ord Wilson, Laurel Wilson (Lanee) and Abigail Wilson.
In 1978 he migrated to the United States followed by his wife and children. He worked at Soiltest, Lutheran General Hospital and Nesset Health Center from where he retired.
Noel was a life-long member of the Church of God of Prophecy where he was a licensed Deacon, Sunday School Superintendent, choir director and served on various auxiliaries within the church.
Noel was a very generous man and enjoyed playing the guitar and his harmonica.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father and five siblings.
Noel is survived by his wife of 59 years, 8 children, 19 grand-children, 5 Greatgrand children, five siblings: Anira Smellie, Elsada Thomas, Martha Campbell, Gwendolyn Bailey, and Merlena Wilson and a host of nieces and nephews and countless family, friends and loved ones.
